Baker Rachel Katz

Rachel has followed a passion for baking from her earliest years, when she and her dad would work their magic for friends and family in their home kitchen in Minneapolis. Her love of baking culminated with her 2007 graduation from Le Cordon Bleu in London. After living abroad in England and Spain, Rachel moved to Pittsburgh, eventually bringing her experiences and creativity to Squirrel Hill as the Head Baker of Dozen Cupcakes. Rachel is now baking at Dozen Bake Shop, where she is building her repertoire and creating even more new and delicious treats.

Melissa grew up in Western New York state baking regularly with her grandmother and father. She moved to Pittsburgh with her husband in 2007. She joined the staff at Dozen Cupcakes in Squirrel Hill and quickly took over the head baking position. She now bakes as one of the team members at Dozen Bake Shop in Lawrenceville. A true natural to the professional Kitchen environment. Melissa's stills were clearly honed a long time ago. She especially loves the creativity of Wedding cake decorating.
